This statement is about how we protect your privacy when you contact us and share personal data with us. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the national GDPR Implementation Act set the rules for the protection of your privacy and the processing of your private data. What is personal data?

Names, addresses and phone numbers are personal data, as well as email addresses and photos for instance. The person the data pertains to is called the data subject. Data about organisations, such as businesses, are generally not considered personal data.
How do we obtain your personal data?
On this website you can fill out a contact form, to ask a question, for instance. When you use this option, you will be providing your personal data to us. Without that data, we would not be able to contact you.
What do we do with your data?
The province of Drenthe handles your data with care and will protect your privacy as much as possible. We properly secure this data and do not share information with others. The data that you provide to us for a specific purpose will not be used for other purposes. When we no longer need your data, it will be deleted.
Customer Contact Centre (KCC)
When you use the contact form to contact us, you will come into contact with our customer contact centre. They serve as the access gate to our organisation and will ensure that your request reaches the right party. For every contact, the KCC registers the contact details you provide, including your phone number or email address (automatically). This data is processed by the KCC and kept for up to six months to forward your request and ensure that it is handled. We also use the data to be better able to serve you when you contact us again. If you object to this processing, you can indicate this during the contact or at a later moment.
